Both cards are from the second series of the set. The VIP set contains all of the game/month/season and post-season award winners, as well as the All-Stars. I haven't found a good resource for checklist information yet, so I'm working strictly from auction listings at the moment.Jason Presleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13543465200431539036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7480658377503163749.post-15644622049022138462012-10-24T14:19:14.995-04:002012-10-24T14:19:14.995-04:00Thanks - I checked out the four cards I have with ...Thanks - I checked out the four cards I have with your list - so far you've identified two of them (which is two more than I ever would have identified)
NPB Card Guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01178497208404127283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7480658377503163749.post-2929334298970286132012-10-22T23:44:02.852-04:002012-10-22T23:44:02.852-04:00Having found some new resources, I've started ...Having found some new resources, I've started compiling checklists for the early 1990s sets. The player at the top of the post is from the 1990 set and is Lee Chu-Ming, one of those for which I actually found an English translation. I'll post all of my progress on by blog (as well as adding the partial checklists to SCF).Jason Presleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13543465200431539036noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7480658377503163749.post-50385969035188964842012-02-11T17:48:58.610-05:002012-02-11T17:48:58.610-05:00best bet is via Japanese baseball card sitesbest bet is via Japanese baseball card sitesJimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07550764110554339416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7480658377503163749.post-77449955964868164002011-12-15T22:15:08.866-05:002011-12-15T22:15:08.866-05:00That is an excellent question. Inside are white cardboard divides with colorful caricatures of the teams' mascots for each of the four teams and white cardboard holders for the cards of all the team players that came with it.

Today I took it to a Heritage Appraiser who at first told me it was published in Japan--until I pointed out it was Taiwanese. You can be glad to know that this "top" auction house also knows little about the Asian cards.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
