Here's a list of all the legitimate Japanese baseball cards of Shohei Otani:
That doesn't mean you won't see something that's not on this list on eBay, especially after he signs with an MLB team. That would be someone's unlicensed, home-brew card.
Just in case I wasn't clear, here's the list again, in reverse order:

Hello,
I am sure someone has already asked this question but is there a website or database that I could enter in a Japanese Baseball player and find out all, or mostly all, of his Japanese Baseball cards?
Thanks ...
Jason has done an amazing job of getting most of the Japanese cards from the past 30-35 years up on the SportsCardForum.com's Inventory Manager. You'll need to register with the site and log on before you can do searches.
Many thanks for the information on the SportsCardForum.
Thank Jason - he's the one who's done all the work
Given how Otani's desire to play in America is causing NPB to re-evaluate their rules regarding eligibility (basically if a player opts out of the draft, they are punished by not being allowed to play in NPB for three years after returning to Japan), I had a look in the SCF system for Junichi Tazawa and was shocked to find he had less than 35 cards made since 2009!
I'll have to go scour the web for old press releases, but unless he signed some sort of exclusive contract with Panini or Upper Deck, I'm really surprised he has been left out of the last two years of Topps Pro Debut sets and ALL of the Bowman products. Most first round MLB draftees have 30 cards within days of the draft (if not before). Tazawa is going into his fourth year of professional play in the US and is barely represented in the hobby.
