The Mets had five pitchers combine to no-hit the Phillies on Friday night. It was the second no-hitter in Mets history but would have been the first had replay review existed in 2012. One of the five pitchers, Joely Rodriguez, had pitched for the Chunichi Dragons in 2018 and 2019. Rodroguez was the third pitcher in the game, pitching one inning and walking two batters (one of which was erased on a double play so he only faced four batters). He earned his second hold of the season. In 2019 he lead the Central League in "Hold Points" with 44. "Hold Points" are calculated by adding a pitcher's holds and wins together - in Rodriguez's case he had 41 holds and 3 wins that season.
