Last Saturday night, Daisuke Matsuzaka of the Red Sox took a no-hitter into the eighth inning against the Phillies. For those of us who have been forced to endure his 100 pitch, 4 inning outings, it was quite a treat. Here's his 1999 Calbee rookie card (#115), back when he was still a Seibu Lion:

Even Nomo and Valenzuela pitched no-hitters when their careers were basically over, but here's hoping it wasn't a fluke and that he's finally found his old stuff again.
Hmmm, last night (5/27) he throws 112 pitches in 4 2/3 innings, walking 8. Looks like a fluke.
