Former Lions and BayStars pitcher Yoshihiro Doi signed a minor league contract with the Orioles two weeks ago. The Orioles apparently are attempting to stockpile former NBP pitchers having recently signed
Tsuyoshi Wada and
Wei-Yin Chen.
Doi has relatively few Japanese cards. His rookie card is #409 from the 1998 BBM set. He shows up only sporadically in BBM's main sets for the next few years - he's in the 2000 and 2001 sets, but not the 1999 or 2002 ones. Starting in 2003, he's in either the 1st or 2nd Version (or both) sets for each year until 2009. He's never made an All Star roster so he doesn't appear in any of the BBM All Star sets, but he does appear in the 2002 BBM Nippon Series set. His first Calbee card isn't until the 2005 set (#226) and he only appears in two other of their sets (2006 & 2007).
Here's some of his cards:

1998 BBM #409 |
|
2002 BBM Nippon Series #S34 |
|
2006 Konami Baseball Heroes 2 Black Edition #B06B168 |
|
2009 BBM 1st Version #012 |

Seems odd that he played a full season in 2010 and has no cards in any of the main 2010 sets.
