Hideki Matsui
announced his retirement last week. I had done a
post of Matsui last year when he reached 500 home runs but I decided that I still had enough interesting cards of him to do another post.
There's not much I can say about him that would add anything, so I'll just show the cards:

1993 Takara Giants #55 |
|
1994 Calbee Hokkaido Edition #C-1 |

2000 BBM Diamond Heroes '90s Franchise Player #F16 |

Looks like that will be the end of the Hideki Matsui Homerun Card set. Two final cards and one more card folder were issued for the 2012 season with the Rays. I suspect those will be tough cards to get.
I was wondering what Topps Home Run cards of Matsui are of him wearing an Oakland A's uniform?
Between Japan and the US, Matsui hit a total of 507 home runs. The last two were with Tampa and the previous 12 were with Oakland. So I think that means the cards for home runs 493-505 would show him with the A's.
