For the last ten years or so, every Calbee flagship release (Series One, Two or Three as opposed to the Samurai Japan and other sets) has been accompanied by a small (usually 12 card) set of cards that is exclusively available at
Calbee's online store at Amazon's Japanese site. I don't usually try to get these but I decided to pick up the one for this year's Series One set. It was called something like "Team Home Run Kings" and featured the 2023 home run leader for each of the 12 NPB teams.
I had seen a couple listings for the set on Yahoo! Japan Auctions for 1000 yen and asked
Ryan if he'd pick one up for me. He ended up getting one for me at the Tokyo card show in April - IIRC he only paid 500 yen for it. It was yet another item that he was able to hand off to me when I met up with him on my trip.
Since there's only 12 cards in the set, I'm just going to show them all. I don't really have too much to say about them, other than I like them.
