The Final Stage of the Central League Climax Series is getting interesting. The Baystars had won the first three games, putting the Giants on the brink of elimination. However, the Giants won Game Four yesterday and Game Five today, forcing a winner-take-all Game Six tomorrow to see who will face the Hawks in the Nippon Series starting next Saturday. Of course, it's not really a "winner" take-all as the Giants will advance even if the game ends in a tie while the Baystars need to win outright to move on. (This is one of three benefits in the Series that the Giants get for finishing first during the regular season - the other being starting the Series with one automatic win - which is why the Series is tied at 3 after only five games - and playing all the games at home.)
One of the heroes of yesterday's game was starting pitcher Haruto Inoue, who took a perfect game into the sixth inning before giving up a home run to Yasutaka Tobashira. The hero of today's game was Raito Nakayama, whose solo home run in the bottom of the fifth accounted for the game's only run. Here are cards for each of them:

The MLB World Series is already destined to have my least favorite MLB team play one of my two least favorite National League teams so I'll be pulling for the Baystars tomorrow so that the Nippon Series doesn't feature my least favorite Central League team playing my least favorite Pacific League team.
