Calbee Series 1 is in stores...

...and Yakyu Baka has a post with a picture!

Update: Deanna has been opening packs as well. I'm curious as to when Calbee started putting two cards in a pack. The last time I had any unopened packs was 2004 and they were still one card to a pack.

Oh, yeah, I was going to tell you about that. Got my first bag yesterday.

I also picked up some Rookie Edition cards for the hell of it :)

Which tells me that BBM's Rookie Edition is now in stores too! Thanks!

Get any cards of Yusei Kikuchi?

If I hadn't already spent my monthly budget on cards, I'd be mighty tempted to put KuboTEN to work here and pick up a box or two of those new Calbee chips:

No, I bought the Fighters rookie set, and also singles of Kazuhito Futagami, Hisashi Takeuchi, and Kenji Tomura, because I watched them so much at Jingu last year. I didn't actually buy packs, because I usually get frustrated with them. I will tell you that a Kikuchi card was going for like 1000 yen though. WTFever. Sho Nakata's Rookie Edition card was priced at like 500 or 600 still too.

The other crazy card set that the store had was the Ayumi Kataoka boxed set. I have no idea if you have any interest in that, but it was like, a bunch of cards of her in uniform with the Golden Golds, and then a whole bunch of cards of her looking more like a magazine model than a baseball player. I'm sure they're quite popular though.\

Not real interested in an Ayumi Kataoka set, but I'm curious about the Golden Golds sets I've seen on kuboTen. Are the Golds simply celebrities or do they have OB players playing for them as well?
