The big game in Japan yesterday was the first pro match up of Masahiro Tanaka of the Eagles and Yuki Saitoh of the Fighters, who last met in a memorable final of the 2006 Summer Koshien tournament. That game ended as a 1-1 tie that both pitchers went the distance in. Saitoh came back the next day and pitched another complete game for the victory and the championship.
Both pitchers threw complete games yesterday as well, but it only went nine (eight and a half actually) and this time Tanaka came out on top. Here's Ma-kun's Leader subset card from the 2008 BBM 1st Version set (#436) in honor of his winning of the Pacific League Rookie Of The Year award in 2007:
