Joey Meneses of the Washington Nationals is one of the feel-good stories of the 2022 MLB season. After kicking around the Braves, Phillies and Red Sox organizations for ten years (with one year in Japan), the 30 year old got called up to the big leagues in early August after the Nats traded away Juan Soto and Josh Bell and he's been making up for lost time. He hit a home run against the Mets for his first hit in his first game and had an 11 game hitting streak. Last Thursday with two outs in the bottom of the tenth and the Nats down 5-4 to Oakland, he hit a three run walk-off home run to beat the Athletics 7-5.
That one year in Japan I mentioned was with the Orix Buffaloes in 2019 (although he spent some time in Japan last summer as a member of the Mexican Olympic Baseball team). Here's his 2019 BBM Buffaloes card (#B48):

I remember seeing a graphic showing that he's been having a better season since the Juan Soto trade happened than Juan Soto lol.
