Card Of The Week January 19

Roki Sasaki wasn't the only Japanese pitcher whose signing was announced on Friday - Shintaro Fujinami, formerly of the Hanshin Tigers, inked a minor league deal with the Seattle Mariners.  Fujinami spent all of last season in the Mets' farm system after splitting 2023 between the A's and Orioles.  He spent this winter playing for los Gigantes de Carolina in Puerto Rice, hoping to draw interest from an MLB team after being released by the Mets and it worked.  Here's a card of him from the apparently unnamed (or named the same as the base set) insert set associated with the 2015 BBM Memories Of Uniform set (#MU04):
