When I started this blog back in 2007, I had two goals. The first was to inform folks about what cards were out there and I think I've succeeded at that. The second was to provide a place for collectors to connect with each other and I don't think I've really done that at all. I tried doing some swapmeet posts way back when but I don't think anyone every really got anything out of them and I stopped doing them. So maybe this Discord server can do a better job than I did.

I know a few bloggers use Discord, but I'm one of those who have no idea what it is. I just know my students use it to communicate while playing video games. Well... at least I think they used it for this a few years ago.
To be honest, I really don't know much about Discord either. Seems like it's basically another version of a message board system but I could be wrong.
I've been on another hobby-related Discord channel for a year or two, and just joined this one as my third Discord channel (the other one is a Lord Of The Rings channel where I overestimated my interest in the subject). I think of it as sort of a combination of social media and message board, but I guess that's largely based on my own experience. I've never used the voice channels like gamers do.
Yeah Discord is old-school internet for a lot of us who just want something like IRC.
Also I've apparently been away from my RSS feed for so long that the invite link expired. I'm not huge on NPB cards but I do have some interests there and wouldn't mind checking it out.
Sorry, thought I had used an invite link that never expired. Try this one.
