Card Of The Week September 8

On Friday Kodai Senga of the Hawks threw a no-hitter against the Marines.  This was the first regular season NPB no-hitter since Shun Yamaguchi's on July 27th, 2018 (Tomoyuki Sugano threw one in the playoffs last year).  Amazingly this was only the second no-hitter ever by a Hawks pitcher - the other one was by Takehiko Bessho on May 26th, 1943.  Here's the highlight video for the game from Pacific League TV:

Senga was originally drafted by the Hawks as the fourth pick in the 2010 ikusei draft so he becomes the first pitcher to ever be originally drafted as an ikusei player to throw a no-hitter.  Coincidentally his catcher on Friday, Takuya Kai, was ALSO originally an ikusei player - he was the sixth pick in the same draft Senga was taken in.  The Hawks have something like seven guys on their roster right now who were originally ikusei players which I suspect is the most in NPB.  Besides Senga and Kai, they are Oscar Colas, Go Kamamato, Taisei Makihara (who was the #5 pick between Senga and Kai in the 2010 draft), Kotaro Ohtake and Ukyo Shuto,  BBM's 2019 Hawks set includes a subset called "Get Over" that commemorates the players moving from the ikusei roster to the 70-man roster - it includes all the players except Colas.  Here's the Senga and Kai cards from this subset:

Are there any Japanese cards of Oscar Colas? He might be a hot commodity this coming year. Thanks.
