Former Fighters pitcher
Naoyuki Uwasawa signed a minor league deal with the Tampa Bay Rays back in January He didn't pitch particularly well during spring training - giving up 14 earned runs in 9 2/3 inning for a 13.03 ERA - and did not make the big league roster. The Rays then traded him to the Red Sox for cash considerations last week.
I thought this would be a good opportunity to show off the "Stadium Background" parallel card of Uwasawa (#54) from the 2023 Topps 206 set that I recently won on Ebay, reducing the number of teams I need this parallel for to five (Marines, Dragons, Hawks, Swallows and Baystars):
